Apartments prices in Tashkent fell relatively less in April 2009. 2-room and 3-room apartments defied considerable price cut. In our sample study 2-room apartments in Tashkent declined a bit over 2%, and the highest year-to-date change is attributed to 4-room apartments, prices of which cut by almost 40%.
By investigating zonal price changes, one may notice that apartment prices in Zone 2 declined the least. In fact, 1 and 2-room apartment prices even increased.
1-ROOM APARTMENTS
Average price range of 1-room apartments in Tashkent have slightly shifted downwards for as much as $1000. Thus, if you are hunting in the secondary market of 1-room apartments try cutting a deal within a reasonable range of $13,014 to $15,105. Earmarked more? Since December 2008, 3-room apartments’ average price cut was the least, constituting 5.86%. If you look at zones, you may notice that 3-room apartments prices are more normally distributed in Zone 3, having the least standard deviation.

4-room apartments followed the general pattern of price falls and decreased by almost 11% as compared with March. Year-to-date change constitutes about 38% (the largest YTD change).
