How can you distinguish boat, ship and a yacht?

Boat You can fit a boat inside a ship, but not a ship inside a boat. Boats are usually small specialized vessels. Yacht Vessel used mainly for pleasure and entertainment Ship Relatively large size, and for commercial use


Yet, the word “yacht” derives from the Dutch word “jacht”, which means chase or hunt. In fact jachtships were pirate-ships. Then, who knows maybe Somalian pirates indeed chase ships with pleasure:)

Somalians did chase the ships with pleasure, but they were not successful with the Russian tanker...they even couldn't reach the Somalia...
